ACCESSIBILITY STATEMENT

Last updated: 30 August 2026

Generations by Design is committed to making generationsbydesign.co.uk accessible and usable for as many people as reasonably possible.

We want visitors to be able to access our information, resources, products and services regardless of disability, technology or method of access.

OUR ACCESSIBILITY AIMS

When creating and reviewing the website, we aim to:

· Use clear headings and a logical content structure

· Use readable fonts and appropriate colour contrast

· Write in clear, straightforward language

· Provide meaningful alternative text for informative images

· Make links and buttons descriptive and understandable

· Support keyboard navigation where the website platform permits

· Allow content to respond appropriately on mobile devices

· Avoid relying solely on colour to communicate meaning

· Review forms and purchasing processes for usability

· Provide alternative formats where reasonably possible

ACCESSIBILITY STANDARD

We aim to work towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

The website has not yet undergone a formal independent accessibility audit. We therefore do not claim that every page or function fully conforms to WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

We will continue to review and improve the website as the content, platform and services develop.

KNOWN LIMITATIONS

Some areas may not yet be fully accessible, including:

· Functions supplied by third-party website, payment, form or shopping platforms

· Embedded content controlled by other organisations

· Some documents or resources created before accessibility improvements are completed

· External websites reached through links

· Occasional images or design elements requiring further review

We will address identified issues where it is reasonably practicable to do so.

THIRD-PARTY CONTENT

Some website functions and external resources are provided by third parties.

We cannot directly control the accessibility of third-party websites, platforms or embedded services, but we will consider accessibility when selecting providers and will raise significant problems where appropriate.

REQUESTING HELP OR AN ALTERNATIVE FORMAT

If you cannot access information or use part of the website, please contact us.

Tell us:

· The page, document or function causing difficulty

· What problem you experienced

· The format or adjustment that would help

· How you would prefer us to respond

We will consider reasonable adjustments and try to provide the information in another accessible format where reasonably possible.

FEEDBACK

Accessibility improves through practical feedback.

If you identify a problem that is not listed here or believe we are not meeting accessibility needs, contact:

info@generationsbydesign.co.uk

We will aim to acknowledge accessibility enquiries as soon as reasonably possible and investigate what can be improved.

ONGOING REVIEW

Accessibility is part of our continuing website review rather than a one-off exercise.

We will update this statement when significant changes are made, when new issues are identified or after a formal accessibility review.
